Background
Greenlight Creative is seeking a talented Photographer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work primarily with our client, the U.S. House of Representatives, helping to create dynamic and meaningful content that supports their internal programs and initiatives. We’re looking for someone with both creative expertise and a passion for producing exceptional creative work.

This role is responsible for providing digital media-related support services for Member, Committee, and House support offices, primarily in the areas of photography, post-production, and multimedia. In collaboration with the program area supervisor and director, participates in all stages of the photographic development lifecycle, including gathering requirements, concept development, tools selection, post-production, development, and delivery.
Candidate Specific Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Three years experience in photography, including digital media.

  • Demonstrated experience with portrait, event, documentary, and journalistic styles of photography.

  • Demonstrated experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite with emphasis on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Premiere.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products. Understanding of other applications within Microsoft Office 365 suite is desired.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with elected officials, senior staff, information systems professionals, and non-technical users.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional staff as well as customers and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of principles for providing customer service including needs assessment, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Must be able to work additional hours as needed.

Description of Work
  • Consults with customers and stakeholders to determine needs and ensure customer satisfaction in the areas of photography and digital media.

  • Creates photographic and multimedia content in support of communications, outreach or engagement campaigns, including social media platforms.

  • Participates in project teams supporting House offices on high-profile or complex projects, often in tight-turnaround situations.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current photography/multimedia software and techniques, with an emphasis on the Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Provides feedback and input on planning issues and the day-to-day functions.

  • Prepare recommendations for improvements, modifications and/or enhancements to assure responsiveness to changing requirements.

  • Inform senior management of unusual problems and unanticipated constraints of resource requirements in a timely manner.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of workplace policies, standards, procedures, practices, and communication programs.

  • Participates in the development and distribution of all related program documents and materials.
